Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

This policy explains, in plain English, what information Light Chop LLC collects through our apps, including GYST and Starway, and through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Light Chop LLC is a New Mexico limited liability company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When we say “we” or “us,” we mean Light Chop LLC.

The short version

  • We collect what our apps need to work, and not much else.
  • We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
  • This website has no cookies, analytics, or tracking.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time.

App privacy policies

This page is Light Chop LLC’s general privacy policy. GYST also has its own privacy policy, with more detail about its features and the services it uses, at getgystapp.com/privacy.

Information you give us in our apps

When you use our apps, you may give us:

  • Account details, such as your email address and the name you choose to show.
  • The things you create, save, or add in an app.
  • Things you choose to share with family or friends through an app.
  • Messages you send us when you ask for help.

Information collected automatically

To keep our apps running and secure, we may collect basic technical information, such as your device type, operating system and app version, crash reports, and the time and date of requests. We don’t use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Bank and money data in GYST

GYST’s money features are optional. If you use them:

  • You connect a bank through Plaid. You sign in to your bank on Plaid’s screens, so we never see or store your bank username or password. Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy explains how Plaid handles your data.
  • GYST receives your account names and types, balances, transactions (date, merchant, amount, and category), and the name of your bank.
  • This access is read-only. GYST can’t move money or make changes to your accounts.
  • On iPhone, GYST may also offer to read Apple Wallet activity, such as Apple Card, through Apple’s FinanceKit. It only does this with your permission.
  • You can unlink a bank at any time. When you do, GYST permanently deletes that bank’s accounts, balances, and transactions right away and asks Plaid to end its access. Deleting your account deletes all of your money data.

How we use information

  • To provide our apps: storing your content, syncing it across your devices, and showing it to people you choose to share with.
  • To answer your support requests.
  • To keep our services secure, fix bugs, and improve our apps.
  • To send important notices about your account or changes to this policy.

We don’t sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share information only in these cases:

  • With people you choose to share with inside our apps.
  • With service providers that help us run our apps and this website. They may only use your information to provide their service to us. For GYST, these are Supabase (database and sign-in), Railway (app hosting), Plaid (bank connections), Resend (verification emails), Apple (push notifications), and Cloudflare (network). This website is hosted by Cloudflare, and our email is handled by Google. GYST’s privacy policy lists every service GYST uses.
  • If you use GYST’s optional AI features, your request goes to the AI company you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, or Perplexity), using an API key you add. That company’s privacy policy covers what you send it.
  • When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or Light Chop LLC.
  • If Light Chop LLC is ever involved in a merger or sale, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your content from our active systems within 30 days, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation. Backups are overwritten on a regular schedule.

Your choices and rights

  • You can view, edit, and delete your content in our apps at any time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and data by emailing support@lightchopllc.com.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We’ll honor requests in line with the law that applies to you.

Children

We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

This website

This website (lightchopllc.com) doesn’t use cookies, analytics, ads, or trackers, and it has no forms or accounts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in our apps.
